Easily one of the most memorable parts of my mom and Marty's trip was taking the Nordkette up to the tip top of the mountain. Having only previously visited the first stop, Andy and I were thrilled to head all the way up to Hafelekar in perfect company.

To say the view from the top (and on the way up/down) is breathtaking is an understatement. We trekked up from the Nordkette stop just far enough to snap a few pictures and although we would have liked to climb all the way to the top, we were underdressed and settled for a warm drink and Apfel Strudel in the cafe instead.
